OPED has developed a sensor and a connected app for outpatient rehabilitation following knee injury. The Orthelligent Knee product is a piece of software (app) that can provide a visual representation on a smart phone of the movements of the lower limb measured by the movement sensor.

Our Latest Innovation
OPED has started to equip orthoses with movement sensors in order to give the patient more accurate information about how they are healing based on movement analyses. The ADVAGOknee has an integrated sensor that, with the help of an app, guides the patient through a few simple movement tests, and their results are processed and presented in this app. The patient, therapist and doctor are therefore able to draw conclusions about the development of certain motor skills (range of motion, coordination and speed/strength), the recovery progress and the effect of the therapy methods used.

VACO12 technology forms the basis of medical technology products. A cushion filled with thousands of beads surrounds an injured body part. Air is extracted from the cushion using a pump. A plastic frame provides additional stability similar to that of a plaster cast. The body part is provided with optimum protection, though the product can be put on or taken off at any time.
