Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is one of the most preferred semester-based academic courses for management students in Nepal. There are both national and international universities offering this course through various public campus and private colleges. Students need to prepare for Entrance examination for taking admission e.g., CMAT (Central management Admission test) for Tribhuvan University, KUUMAT (Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission test) for Kathmandu University and so on. Entrance Examination
All the candidates who want to pursue BBA must qualify entrance examination i.e., CMAT/KUUMAT or the entrance exam taken by the respective university. The entrance examination is conducted by respective university every year. The candidates who qualify entrance examination can then take admission in that particular university. For more information about entrance examination, you can visit the website of respective universities. The university of your choice will decide the application fee for your course. The application fee should be paid by the candidate during the first semester. In case the candidate does not pay the application fee within the stipulated time, the admission will be cancelled. In Nepal, the tuition fee of a student depends upon the type of college they apply for. Admission procedure varies from university to university. Most of the universities have their own admission procedure.
Cost: The fee structure for BBA varies from one university to another. Generally, the fee of BBA starts around 5 lakhs to 12 lakhs varying according to colleges. Some of the private universities also offer scholarship to their deserving students. Check with the respective university regarding the tuition fee and scholarship offered.
Prospectus: A prospectus is a booklet containing information about a college, its courses and the fees involved. This is available at the college itself or from the internet.
The most popular national universities offering BBA course in Nepal include Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, Purbanchal University, Mid-western University, Far-western University and Rajarshi Janak University. Likewise, various colleges are affiliated to international universities like Lincoln University, London Metropolitan University, Westcliff University, University of Northhampton and many more.
Most of the Nepalese students seem to be joining Tribhuvan University for which they need to prepare CMAT which curriculum include Verbal Section, Quantitative Section, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. We advise students to research before selecting the course as well as university/ college. It is suggested to look for the scholarship scheme offered by the selected educational institute as well.
The scholarships are awarded to meritorious students from economically weaker sections, and those with strong academics are eligible.
