An indigenous man from the Karen hill tribe shows how to drink water in the jungle. A hill tribe member from the Karen tribe is guiding me through the nature and hills of the Pha Dok Siew nature trail at Doi Inthanon National Park in the Chiang Mai province in Thailand.
The Karen tribe is an ethnic group with different kind of tribes. The man is a member of the Karen Sakor (also known as Pga-Gan Yaw), a Karen tribe from Burma. They are also known as the Mae Klang Luang community, who established at Doi Inthanon National Park in the year 1870. The indigenous people of the Karen hill tribe work in agriculture such as farming rice, farming crops, and growing coffee. In the current modern life they also work as tourist guides.
