This is a video essay on the army of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the Great Northern War. This video focuses on units, recruitment, organisation and the a basic overview of their performance.
Mistakes:
Not so much mistakes as placeholders:
For the Heavy Cavalry section the image used is of an Austrian cavalryman of the same period. This is still however, a very close depiction of what westernised Polish-Lithuanian heavy cavalry would look like.
In the artillery section the image used is of a Saxon 24.lbs cannon at Fortress Königstein. Augustus the Strong did supplement the Commonwealth with Saxon artillery, however I felt I must point out this particular image does show a Saxon cannon from the period, not a Commonwealth one.
