A friend recently pointed me to a critique by an email “expert” who reviewed one of the content emails I wrote for a client.
They generally had great things to say (even they had zero idea about my or my client’s goals) about the email except for the following:
#1 - “I don’t like putting in multiple offers.”
Evidence?
Zero.
Oh, you’re in your feelings.
News flash!
Your feelings don’t matter.
What works best matters.
Here’s just two examples of how much additional money you can make yourself and your clients when including two offers in a content email the right way.
First email’s 2nd link did $2,232.
Second email’s 2nd link did $1,126
Critique #2 - Literally said nothing about the most responsive part of the email by far.
Didn’t review it.
Didn’t even mention it.
However…
This proven email strategy had 110% more clicks and 69% more revenue than what they reviewed..
But email “experts” like this are robots and ignore anything that doesn’t fit into their limited and less profitable world view of email marketing.
Critique #3 - Compared my email to another one of my emails for this client and predicted a different email would have the most clicks based on their "feelings" again.
The actual winner (my main email they reviewed) did 130% more clicks and 1,870% more revenue.
Moral of the story?
Many, if not most, email “experts” are succeeding in pockets of ignorance but have almost no idea of what actually works best.
Why?Because they have their heads up their ass among other things.
