Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Wednesday for a two-day visit to take stock of the party's organisation ahead of the 2021 assembly polls. On Thursday, he said he could sense massive public anger against the Mamata Banerjee's government in West Bengal and the death knell of her regime had been sounded. Shah urged the people to give the BJP a chance to form the next government in the state to fulfill the dream of "Shonar Bangla". Shah hit out at the Trinamool Congress government over political "killings" of BJP members adding that benefits of over 80 central schemes, including PM-Kisan and Ayushman Bharat, did not reach the poor.
