Handling procedures for Atlantis CustomBase solution with angulated screw access. The Atlantis Abutment and the Atlantis Crown is cemented extraorally with the Atlantis Abutment Screw placed inside the abutment/crown before cementation procedures and the screw is then captive inside the assembly. The screw needs to be protected during the cementation, e.g. Teflon tape, floss, foam pellets or suitable materials easy to remove before the cement has fully cured. Step by step: Clean all parts and air blow dry. Insert the screw into the abutment. Protect the screw with suitable material. Bonding and then apply cement on the abutment and assemble crown and abutment fully - follow manufactures instructions. Remove the protective material before the cement cured. The screw is now captured inside the abutment and crown. Control that the screw is free to move inside assembly. Clean and polish before installation. Notify the clinician that the screw is captive and should not be removed and use the Atlantis angulated screwdriver.
