Fake and pattern ignition coils have been a serious issue for RX-8 owners for as long as we can remember, In this video we are going to show you how to take a close look at what you have or may have purchased for your RX-8 and tell pretty quickly that they are the rear deal or some sub standard cheap catalytic converter killing, fuel economy ruining copy parts.
We highlight 9 different ways you can check your coils, if your coils pass all 9 checks than you can be pretty certain that what you have is an original part.
Please remember things can change and this video is accurate at the time of shooting, and in the 12+ years we have been working on these amazing vehicles we have not come across a truly convincing fake or reliable pattern coil that passes all 9 checks.
