In this video I am spraying the Spuce Tip Metallic Green base coat. The CJ5 has gone thru a complete transformation from a banged up pile of parts to what you see before you in this video. The chassis is almost finished, a few brake lines to make, driveshafts, and get the engine started and broken in. The weather has been perfect for spraying and as you can see in the video the paint laid down great.
It took 3 coats of base coat to give the coverage that I wanted on all the parts. A 2:1 mix of base and reducer was sprayed thru my Iwata LPH400 spray gun with a 1.3 tip. 22 psi on the regulator and full fluid and fan helped the paint atomize correctly.
