Following the release of his debut EP ‘We Are Stars’ Edinburgh born and raised singer-songwriter Callum Beattie today unveils ‘Man Behind The Sun’, released on July 14th through 3 Beat / Universal Music.
With a truly emotive showstopping voice, Beattie’s cracked vocal tones take the lead on his second single. The new track is a true testament to Beattie’s extraordinary ability to build panoramic genre-melding numbers. With heartwarming driving guitars, uplifting odes and a hook laden chorus, ‘Man Behind The Sun’ has all the makings of a future festival anthem.
With over two million Spotify streams for his debut EP ‘We Are Stars’, Beattie continues to go from strength to strength. Having recently played Glastonbury and The Great Escape Festival, he is currently preparing for a busy summer of more live performances, captivating audiences across the UK. Beattie is set to perform at British Summer Time, V Festival and Boardmasters Festival later this year.
Beattie is currently putting together his first studio album, working hard in the studio with producer Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Paolo Nutini) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar). A musician with a broad palette, Beattie takes inspiration from the likes of Churches, Biffy Clyro, Sia and Kings Of Leon.
Callum Beattie spent his formative years learning his craft, playing any gig he could blag in the none-too-salubrious pubs of Edinburgh.
