GOAL SETTING - A CHANGE FOR ALL DENTAL OFFICES TO CONSIDER! Join Laura for this YouTube Exclusive dental training video to listen in on the discussion about goal setting and your dental office.
In Laura’s office, as in many dental offices, goals were set on a monthly basis. With her team, the doctors' mood and the overall team mood really seemed to depend on those goals and how the team was doing against the goals. The issue that arose was that they began to feel like they were constantly being set up to fail.
Here are some tips covered in this video to consider first:
1. When setting goals for your dental practice, Laura suggests quarterly goals instead of monthly (or to have quarterly goals set in addition to monthly goals). Because not all months are the same.
2. Some months are shorter than others, some have more holidays, some months are just typically slower than others and we cannot expect to hit the same goals month by month when each month is not the same!
3. However, your practice chooses to set goals, be sure to set goals your team can achieve. Don't set yourself up to fail!
