The Israeli Parliament on Wednesday (30/4) debated the latest controversy and scandal surrounding the Likud government and discussed whether a State investigation should be carried out.
Members of Israel's opposition Labour Party are protesting against the decision and are calling upon the Likud government to resign immediately. Labour's Ehud Barak, a man expected to challenge Shimon Peres for leadership of the party, went so far as to sign a petition and
contribute money towards a fund to fight the government.
