Checking Patient (NIF) Negative Inspiratory Force with Patient on Vent. This is part of the Pt Vent Weaning protocol to assess if the patient is prepared to be extubated. This NIF manuever was performed while the patient is on the ventilator with minimal ventilator settings (No CPAP or PS) and the trigger sensitivity was set to -20 cmH20.
