Indian Army foiled a major infiltration bid along the LoC in the general area of Degwar Terwan in J&K’s Poonch during the wee hours of August 07. Weapons and war-like stores were recovered including one AK-56 rifle with magazine, one 9mm pistol with silencer, 10 rounds of 7.62 mm, 9 rounds of 9mm two hand grenades. The bid was foiled after security forces launched a search operation after observing suspicious movement along LoC.
Two infiltrators have been eliminated in the operation. One of the killed terrorists was Division Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terror outfit.
