Char siu, also can be called BBQ pork is a marinated roasted or grilled pork and usually in the red colour. It is a very common food and you can find it hanging at the front shop at the Chinese BBQ pork shop. Actually it is not hard to make, just combine the ingredients to marinate.
The ingredients:
1 kg pork shoulder / pork belly
2 tbsp honey
Marinate mixture:
4-5 cloves garlic
1 tsp ginger
2 cube red fermented tofu
6 tbsp BBQ sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp cooking wine
½ tbsp five spices powder
1 tbsp chicken powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
