Spicy & tangy version of colocasia leaves pathrode..an authentic Konkani dish
Grind the moong 1 cup, 2 fistful dosa rice (soak moong , dosa rice in water for 30 minutes n wash), small hing/asfoetida, 25 nos red chillis(short chilli n long chillies lemon sized tamarind & 1 cup grated coconut
Add very little water to form smooth thick masala.
Clean the colocasia leaves, remove the veins.. wash n keep it aside.
Apply the masala to each leaf, make the 4 to 5 layers of the leaf as shown in the video.. fold the sides n roll them .
Steam the pathrode rolls in cooker or idli vessel for 30 to 45 minutes.
Aftr cooldown, cut the rolls into pieces n relish it with generous amount of fresh coconut oil.
