Vehicle manufactures around the world are looking for ever more creative solutions to transport people cheaper, faster, and more efficiently than ever before with two wheels and handlebar.

To meet these new market demands, the Toyota Motor Corporation has purchased Patmont Motor Werks, including the GoPed brand and all respective patents. With the goal of capturing share in new markets, Toyota assumes control of designing, manufacturing, marketing GoPed scooters.

In a deluded attempt to re-brand their Prius family of vehicles as “fast”, “cool” and “edgy”, Toyota makes a totally unexpected move by releasing a collaboration between their hybrid vehicle family and the freshly acquired GoPed brand. By combining their innovative hybrid synergy drive system with the proven GoPed GSR40 folding frame platform, Toyota releases its first production model of the Pruis Ped: the world’s first commercial gasoline electric hybrid stand up scooter.
