Ice Canyon - Located in Greenland. The glaciers and icebergs generated by this ice sheet is one of the reasons why many people fall in love with this place. Hiking, dog sledding, mountain climbing, fishing (where you could catch cod and rose fish), and kayaking are some of the activities that one can enjoy. There are many tour operators here who can take you in a cruise to see the spectacular sceneries and Greenland's natural beauty. You can get a chance to see whales, icebergs, ice fjords, Viking ruins, and several museums that narrate its colorful history.

Eremo di San Colombano is a monastery in Trambileno, Italy, notable for its location in the side of a mountain. Some natural caves, halfway up the rock wall of the 'gorge formed by the stream of Leno Vallarsa were certainly used from 753 (the date inscribed on the rock) from a Monaco hermit.

Phugtal Monastery is a monastery in south-eastern Zanskar, Ladakh in northern India. Founded by Gangsem Sherap Sampo in the early 12th century, the monastery is a unique construction built into the cliffside like a honeycomb. It located on the mouth of a cave on the cliff face of a lateral gorge of a major tributary of the Lungnak (Lingti-Tsarap) River. Home to about 70 monks the monastery has a library and prayer rooms.

Cappadocia is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in Nevşehir Province, Turkey. In the time of Herodotus, the Cappadocians were reported as occupying the whole region from Mount Taurus to the vicinity of the Euxine (Black Sea). Cappadocia, in this sense, was bounded in the south by the chain of the Taurus Mountains that separate it from Cilicia, to the east by the upper Euphrates and the Armenian Highland, to the north by Pontus, and to the west by Lycaonia and eastern Galatia.

Key Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 m above sea level. Key Gompa is said to have been founded by Dromtön (Brom-ston, 1008-1064 CE), a pupil of the famous teacher, in the 11th century. The walls of the monastery are covered with paintings and murals, an example of the 14th century monastic architecture, which developed as the result of Chinese influence.

Yosemite National Park is a United States National Park in the central eastern portion of California, United States. The park covers an area of 3,080.74 km2 and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain. Over 3.7 million people visit Yosemite each year. Designated a World Heritage Site in 1984, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, Giant Sequoia groves, and biological diversity.

Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) is a salt lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, in the Potosí Department, Sur Lípez Province, on the Chilean border at the foot of the volcano Licancabur. Visitors may find some flamingoes dancing in the salt. Its colour is caused by sediments, containing copper minerals. It is elevated some 4,300 m (14,000 ft) above sea level.

Yuanyang Rice Terraces, located on the southern slopes of Ailao Mountain in Yuanyang County, was created and cultivated by the Hani people's ancestors for at least the past 1300 years. In their struggle against the difficult terrain they successfully established the terraces, where they grew rice in order to make a living. The creativity of this people turned the mountain area into one artistic beauty. In recognition, the Ming Dynasty emperor granted the title of 'Skillful Sculptor' to Hani people and their good reputation was passed down from generation to generation.
