DETAILS:
Tampa Police officers are asking for the public's help in tracking down an armed robbery suspect who shot a convenience store clerk. The suspect entered the "29th Street Store" aimed a gun at the owner and demanded money. The victim complied, but the suspect demanded more money and then shot the victim. The suspect fled on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition, but he has improved to stable.
Police believe the suspect also committed another convenience store robbery on November 12th. He walked into Ponce De Leon Grocery store and aimed a gun at a cashier and two other employees. He forced the two employees on the ground and then jumped over the front counter. The suspect demanded money out of the register while pointing the gun at all three employees. The cashier complied with the suspect's demands. He fled the scene undetected. None of the employees were hurt during the robbery.
