A short distance from Alamosa and Great Sand Dunes National Park, Zapata Falls is a unique waterfall located above 9,100 feet in the San Luis Ray Valley. A short, yet - you are gunna get wet at the end hike - this waterfall gets a lot of traffic during the summer months. It's a brief, yet adventurous route ending at a small 5-foot drop with a larger 20-foot fall hidden above it.
