Today the Catholic Church celebrates St. Ephrem of Syria's feast day. Saint Ephrem is known as the Harp of the Holy Spirit and he was named a Doctor of the Church in 1920. Executive Editor and Washington Bureau Chief of EWTN News, Matthew Bunson, joins to tell us about St. Ephrem and his life. Dr. Bunson discusses what some of the challenges are that the saint faced during his lifetime and whether those struggles helped bring him closer to God. Dr. Bunson explains why St. Ephrem is known as the Harp of the Holy Spirit and what other lessons we can learn from him. The Washington Bureau Chief of EWTN News fills us in on how the saint is still relevant today. Dr. Bunson also talks more about the EWTN show he hosts, "Doctors of the Church."
