Two of the strongest cranes in the country worked in tandem to move two gigantic bridge elements of a damaged Danube bridge.

With each support structure weighing in at 480 tons, this was the heaviest lifting operation ever performed in Austria. Fully assembled, the total weight of the two cranes was an unimaginable 1,500 tons. The bridge elements were lifted in millimeter precision from the bank of the Danube onto a specially constructed pontoon, navigated upstream and floated into place.
