This short review will give you an understanding of the system in order for you to understand the ovarian control of the uterine cycle, which will impact some of the differences between combo oral contraceptives and progestin only contraceptives. You have probably had the menstrual cycle material several times as undergrads, but for the pharmacology of oral contraceptives and infertility it is helpful to have a different view of it.
