Jason has been in the games industry for 17 years. He started at Microsoft Games in the UX Research group. Since then he has worked as a Producer, Designer, and “UX Guy” at a variety of game developers and publishers including Big Huge Games, Zynga, and Disney. Iteration, feedback, and culture: How to drive great UX into your studio. Wednesday 6th of December at 11 am.
This workshop will be a series of participatory exercises designed to get participants thinking deeply about how to drive better UX process into their studios. Core modules include: Thinking about UX holistically: Board games in a world where no one reads the instructions. Or anything, really. Gathering UX feedback: Best practices for usability testing with players. Studio thinking: Developing UX strategy and driving UX into studio culture. Real-time Game UX deconstruction: Put some of your favorite games (or games that you are working on) in front of Jason for some rapid-fire feedback.
