On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, at 3:30 in the afternoon, I was laid off from a job I'd had for sixteen years. Most people would immediately start looking for new employment, but I am trying something different.

In 2017, I started GenXGrownUp, a content creation brand focusing on and celebrating everything great about Generation X culture. It includes a YouTube channel, audio podcasts, and a website.

I decided to take this unexpected opportunity to chase my dream of growing GenXGrownUp so that it can support me financially and ultimately become my full-time job, and following that process is what the vlog is all about.
