Day one of the second and final enhanced continuous voter registration kicked off across the country with most registration centres witnessing low turnout.
Most registration sites were open by 8 in the morning but the clerks were forced to wait for hours before those enlisting themselves turned up.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati implored those who missed out on the first phase to avail themselves stating that the registration drive will run for 21 days.
IEBC is hoping to narrow the gap of its unfulfilled target of 4.5 million eligible voters after managing to register 1.5million voters in the first phase that targeted 6 million.
