A 34-year-old woman has been the recipient of the UK’s first womb transplant, which has been hailed as a “dawn of a new era” in fertility treatment.
The lady was born without a euterus, and had one donated to her by her elder sibling.
She is now able to menstruate and is preparing to have her own embryos implanted, already created via IVF with her own eggs.
