this 56 minute video was filmed during formation lap, start and race of the Abendrennen / evening race onboard with a 360 camera. It is the most important and beautiful historic race for the these early cars in germany . It looks place on August 12th (2023) in the evening at 20h45. You will see some of the most beautiful and valuable cars from 1955 to 1964 in true racing action - some driven by professional racers like Frank Stippler, Claudia Hürtgen, Simon Hadfield. The cars were: Maserati 300S, Maserati A6CGS, Aston Martin DB4 GT, Aston Martin DP214 (Prototype), Maserati Cooper, O.S.C.A. 372, Mercedes 300SL, Mercedes SLS, Renault Alpine A 210 Le Mans, Porsche 904, Porsche RS61, Porsche 356 Speedster, Jaguar C-Type, Austin Healey 3000, Lotus 19, Lotus Elite, Lotus XI, Ginetta G4R, Bristol Cooper, Elva Mk5, TVR Grantura, MGA Twin Cam, Lister Jaguar, Austin Healey 100M, Kurtis S 500. Especially in the the beginning it was darker than it appears, the camera tries to produce a daylight scenery. Overall winner Elva Mk7S on first, Ginetta G4R on second and Jaguar C Type on 3rd.
