Democratic Party President Nobert Mao was nit as lucky as his FDC counterpart. Mao was arrested and detained by police shortly after he started walking from his Ntinda home just as it approached midday. Other opposition politicians among them, Budadiri West MP Nandala Mafabi walked walked to parliament unhindered by police in what observers say could be a change of tactic by police.
