After a temporary stalemate in the Time War, the Dalek Emperor is restored and renews his assault on time and space.
The voice actor for the Daleks in the New Series, Nicholas Briggs, also voices the Daleks in the Big Finish audios. The voice for the Dalek Emperor used in this audio is a subtle variation of the voice used for Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways in Series 1, with some of the speech patterns of the Dalek Emperor from The Evil of the Daleks.
