As I discuss in the first chapter of The Carnivore Code (link in bio, [ Ссылка ]), there is striking evidence that EATING MEAT 🥩had a profound impact on the size of the human brain🧠. Looking at a graph of human brain size (shown in the book) we see a huge increase in the rate of growth beginning about 2 million years ago- exactly the same time when we also see significant evidence for the beginning of hunting by humans. Bifacial tools (acheulean tools), cut marks on bones, mass animal graves, and damage to bones from weapons all arise in the fossil record at this time as well. Thus, EATING MEAT APPEARS TO HAVE MADE US HUMAN! Animal foods have always been a part of our evolution and they have always nourished us as humans. To suggest they are bad for us is evolutionarily inconsistent and illogical- it’s also entire based on observational studies when interventional studies suggest the opposite (as I’ve discussed previously). Some suggest that cooking and fire made us human. I address this notion in the book as well- the earliest fossil evidence of fire is 500k-1M AFTER our brains began to grow in size! This makes fire look like an implausible catalyst for our brain growth. Furthermore, amylase gene duplications (which probably occurred in response to increased starch in the diet) didn’t appear until much later as well. Want to know more? Check out The Carnivore Code! What do you guys think? What’s behind the massive increase in human brain 🧠 size over the last 2M years? Meat🥩? Tubers? Kale 😂? Fire? Magic?
