We woke up super early to catch a bus from Kumily to Kottayam and once we arrived a tuk-tuk took us to a local ferry station, where we boarded a 2 and a half ferry through the backwaters of Alleppey. We checked into our accommodation, grabbed a beer and watched the house boats chug by. To end the day, we celebrated Shreya's birthday by having a few beers at sunset on a traditional shikara boat!
