When the PC game Railworks 2 (now Train Simulator Classic) came out in October of 2010, one of the new features it had over its predecessor was working railroad crossings. Here's a look at railroad crossings from various time periods and places of Railworks in its default routes across the United Kingdom, United States and Germany. This is all genuine ingame sounds, trains and routes made by Railsimulator.com (now Dovetail Games), there are no mods to anything in this video. By the way, the screenshots at the beginning and end of the video are screenshots made in the game using the world editor and scenario editor tools, and they're based on car chase movie and game scenes, please always be careful around railroad crossings in real life and never try to beat a train at a railroad crossing. Also, because I'm American, that's why I mentioned the term "Railroad Crossing" in this video. Other nations may have other terms for them, but because of my American nationality, that's why I call them railroad crossings.
