North America is a growing strategic market for the SDF Group, manufacturers of Deutz-Fahr tractors. And farmers in Canada and the U.S. can expect to see a bigger footprint for the brand in 2024 with arrival of the new Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 5 Series tractor, says SDF international regional director Umberto Miceli.
In this report from Agritechnica 23, Miceli tells RealAgriculture's Bernard Tobin how Deutz-Fahr plans to premier a new Agrofarm 5 tractor this year in North America. He notes that farmers on this continent will see these tractors, which range from 75 to 125 horsepower, before farmers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Miceli describes the tractor as a "Swiss army knife" that gives farmers flexibility and durability while focusing on controlling total cost of ownership. The new Agrofarm 5 tractors are equipped with FARMotion 4-cylinder engines which are designed to optimize manoeuvrability, traction and performance. The tractors also deliver excellent external visibility from the driver’s seat and a high steering angle, the company notes.
Other features include: electro-hydraulic control for 4WD, differential lock, 4-speed PTO, Hi-Lo transmission, underdrive and creeper, and a large tire combination with fixed or adjustable rims.
