Unfortunately this is our last stop on our Thailand series, but have we left the best to last!? Quite possibly. In this video we visit Koh Lipe, the ‘Maldives of Thailand’ as it’s also known.

After what could well have been the roughest ever boat journey from the mainland to the island, we were generously picked up from the beach by our hotel. We soon forgot about the rough seas when we were told at reception we’d been upgraded, and head down to the beautiful pool to enjoy the weather.

The Koh Lipe Mountain Resort was an amazing place to stay and we’d highly recommend it. The views from the top of the hill were just breathtaking, and even better from the breakfast/ dining area. Although it’s situated at the top of a steep hill, there are daily shuttles down to the main town and walking street, as well as steps down to the quiet beach in front of the hotel.

Visiting in the rainy season also meant that we had the pool area pretty much to ourselves every day! We couldnt believe how quiet it was, considering the weather was still pretty good.

We were also able to get a cheaper than high season price for a boat trip, which we unfortunately had to abandon due to the bad seas! See for yourself😂 But we had such an adventure stranded on the island which two lovely dogs, trying to get back to the main island and to our hotel.
