Content creators and brands think their content needs to be everywhere and try to boil the ocean. Instead, Joe's top content creator tips is to find your center of gravity. Pick your base - pick 1 style of content on 1 platform and do it REALLY WELL. Do this consistently and build your audience there. Every top content creator started by doing this well and building their audience, including Red Bull, MrBeast, and Content Marketing Institute.
Finding your Content Tilt:
Your Content Tilt is your area of differentiation where you can break through all the clutter and actually build an audience as a content creator. The top thing that holds back content creators is they get stuck in the sea of sameness, where everybody is creating the same content the same way. You're never going to build an audience that way. You need a hook for your content, a strong way to differentiate.
How do you find your Content Tilt? Joe's content creator tips include: Focus on your niche. Become a thought leader in an area you can be an expert. Have a differentiated personality. Put your content on a platform nobody else is using as a content creator. The boys did this with Content Marketing Institute when they decided to focus their content creation on enterprise marketers.
