Today's topics are in the order listed below:
1) Is there a good correlation between mite counts by screen bottom boards versus the sugar roll method?
1b) If you need to use OAV during a honey flow, what's the best way to isolate the supers?
2) I've always heard that you should not knock on the side of your hives as it causes them to become more active. Doesn't the noise associated with scraping out dead bees cause the same reaction?
3) Do bees Police foragers from bringing in poor quality pollen or nectar?
Anti Waggle Dance Communications: [ Ссылка ]
4) On sporadic warm days, can I give my hives 1:1 sugar syrup to induce egg laying?
4a) I see numerous drones coming out for cleansing flights.
5) Does solstice really have anything to do with the honey bee winter laying routine?
6) I've been searching out Black Locust and Basswood that grows here. At what age or size will Basswood Bloom?

Carniolan Queens would be great for beginning beekeepers, and backyard keepers who want their bees to cycle brood up or down in sync with the environment. Mike's Bees has been in beekeeping since the 70's and has a great reputation: [ Ссылка ]
