Three reasons not to buy the BMW G 310 RR or the Apache RR 310. First, it's slow. 33bhp, 35-ish once the RTR310's engine upgrade reaches the RRs, is not slow by itself. But competitive motorcycles from the Duke 250 2024 to the RC390 all feel more involving and faster. The very flexibility of the engine and the slightly high levels of vibration dull the RRs edge. Second, it's expensive. The BMW's price is nearly impossible to justify and the TVS has never been a value for money motorcycle anyway. BMW service is extraordinarily expensive and the RRs are known, across both brands, for expensive parts. Gets worse, TVS Service can be difficult to deal with, in addition. Third, the RRs are at the end of their life, as it were, with the engine update already on the RTR 310 and likely to be coming to the rest of the 310s, for both brands. You can think of this as a time to negotiate a great discount, or wait for the new bike to show up instead. What would you rather do? Leave us a comment.
