Best known for its stretch of sand-and-pebble beach, Afantou is a quiet resort with a sprinkling of open-air seafront tavernas and gyro restaurants. Souvenir stores in the village center sell ceramics and local honey. A cluster of simple churches includes Our Lady Katholiki, with 16th-century frescoes inside. Nearby, hiking trails wind through the Psalidi Hills, and there are sea views from Afantou Golf Course. ― Google
