We recently attended the fabulous annual Outlander Day at the fantastic Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore, Scotland!

Outlander TV Series fans will know this place well, as its featured in Season One, Episode 5 'Rent' and features some authentic Wool Waulking ladies that entertained us with their songs and rhythmic beating of the wool (some of the ladies in this video actually appeared in the Outlander TV Show!).

The Highland Folk Museum is a firm favourite with our lovely Outlander Tour guests and it was great to see our friends, the lovely Inverness Outlanders fan group in attendance! They were also vital (in collaboration with the Highland Folk Museum) in launching this fun annual events for fans of Outlander and also those interested in the wider social histories of the Scottish Highlands! Make sure you visit if you're in the vicinity of the Cairngorms National Park...its a must see!
