Chris & Laura met online in 2018 and after a first date at the cinema where the film was so naff, they just talked all the way through. On that date, Chris invited Laura on a trip to the Lake District and they have been together as a couple ever since, visiting The Lakes every year.

It only made sense that their wedding day should be in The Lake District as well, however, not wanting to make a huge fuss or drag all their family up from southeast England all the way to Cumbria! They opted for a Lake District Elopement with just themselves and their toddler son, Elliott. While looking online they came across my website and blogs, from there they discovered Cragwoods 'Just Us' wedding elopement packages! How amazing is that?

Autumn is possibly my favourite season, quickly followed by spring. I just love the changes they both bring to the year and the spectacular colours they bring to The Lake District, you just never know really what the weather is going to do and that, for an elopement wedding photographer is both terrifying and thrilling! On arrival, I always walk around venues to see what's going on and get some ideas for portraits later. As I walked around I spotted this deer just wandering about! Man, I love where I work for things like this!

The elopement itself was gorgeous and Cumbria Registration Service yet again proved just how amazing they are at their jobs! Myself and Hannah from the Cragwoods wedding team were witnesses (always an honour and privilege) while Elliott played around us just enjoying himself by colouring in and playing with his cars and fire truck.
