We had wanted to mix some new IKEA kitchen units with our old Howdens units but it was too complicated in the end so we kept the Howdens units for the utility room and started afresh in the kitchen itself.
The total cost of our IKEA Kitchen was less that £2000 (this didn't include the worktop). The cost of a typical IKEA Kitchen depends on how much of it you source from IKEA and which range you choose.
One of the best things about the range for us was its modularity which gave us lots of flexibility in terms of design - particularly when it came to the kitchen island, and we were able to build it in stages. We also liked the fact that we have the option to cheaply update the kitchen in the future by changing a few of the kitchen cabinet accent doors.
This is an honest review of the IKEA Kitchen - it's not the perfect kitchen system but the IKEA Metod system is good value for money so if you're looking for a cheap kitchen and you're confident putting together IKEA furniture it's worth considering.
