Improving the entire packaging process for the benefit of the customer – CERMAR approached #MULTIPOND with this task. The mussel packaging, consisting of product feed, #multihead_weigher and transfer to a continuous can belt and two filling stations, had to be equipped with efficient and powerful systems. Frequent product changes in connection with intermediate cleaning, high humidity and the usual environmental conditions of the seafood industry were further requirements.

With the new #multihead_weigher, up to 100 cans per minute can now be filled with mussels, with the giveaway only happening to +/- one gram. The personnel costs and working hours of the employees could also be reduced to 1/3 through the use of the scale. If you look at these factors alone, you can understand the company's enthusiasm for the MULTIPOND weighers.
