According to insights from the Entertainment & Media Outlook compiled by PWC, the South African book market, comprising of consumer, educational and professional book revenues, is experiencing minimal growth. Following a slight contraction in 2015, the market has grown at a rate of 0.5% or lower over the past couple of years. In 2018, the book publishing market was worth R3.9 billion.
