Welcome back to another Christmas helper videos! Let's make a Christmas garland using natural ingredients. It looks beautiful and smells amazing! You can store it in an air tight container and use it for years to come!
Here's what you need:
Dry Orange Slices:
3 to 6 Oranges, any size you like - cut them into 1 to 2 cm thick slices and place them on a cooling rack in the preheated oven for one hour at 120 degrees celsius. Reduce the temperature to 60 degrees celsius and bake for another hour. Make sure you flip them every 30 minutes or so.
For the Cinnamon Salt Dough cookies:
1 cup of flour
1\2 cup of table salt
1\2 cup of water
2 tbs of ground cinnamon
Mix all the ingredients until you have a cookie dough consistency
Roll out your dough and cut out shapes using any cookie cutters you would like. Make sure you make the holes before you bake them.
You can let them air dry for a day or two but if you are in a hurry, like me, you can bake them at 150 degrees for 30 minutes. If you don't want them to puff up, reduce the temperature and bake them for longer.
Use a needle and thread them onto your chosen string and enjoy!
