Man who inspired Get Carter after 'one armed bandit' murder passes away aged 83. For more than 50 years Michael Luvaglio fought to clear his name after he was found guilty of the 'one armed bandit' murder which led to a book and the hit film 'Get Carter'. Michael Luvaglio and Dennis Stafford were convicted of killing Angus Sibbet, who was found dead in his Jaguar in South Hetton County Durham.
