The Nintendo Switch 2 design seems to have leaked. This video will showcase the latest leaked photos and break down everything you need to know, including a potential Mario Kart 9-themed console bundle coming at or near launch.
First story:
So many accessory makers and leakers have been showing images of the Switch 2 in third-party cases that it’s hard to imagine they’re all lying. Today, we have more images of the Switch 2 to share from another Chinese accessory company. While this is technically a rumor...c’mon. It’s probably real at this point, unless everyone has decided to collude.
These images perfectly align with everything we’ve heard, particularly the recent leaks. The additional “C” button on the Joy-Con, the extended kickstand, and the USB-C port at the top are all evident. While nothing is entirely confirmed until Nintendo unveils the product, this information appears highly credible.
Based on rumors, the Switch 2 will be revealed sometime in January and release between March to June 2025.
So, in my opinion, here was your real first look at the Switch 2.

Second story:
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed in January, according to a new rumor from Reddit. Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking…but apparently the “leaker” sent proof to the moderators of r/NintendoSwitch2 (if you place any credibility there). Also, the rumors are not that crazy, meaning even if this particular rumor turns out to be fake, the details could still end up being true.
Here’s a summary of the new details they provided (source):
The previous leaks/3D renderings of the next console have been basically accurate.
It actually is going to be called the Nintendo Switch 2, and the logo is the original Switch logo with a 2 next to it.
They were told of a mid-March release date, as well as a January reveal, but that info doesn’t come from a first party source.
There will be multiple colors of units, with gray coming first. White units may also be at launch, or coming later.
There will be a special edition of the console themed around a specific game that has yet to be named, although NextHandheld says the number 9 is in the title, most likely indicating Mario Kart 9. Whether or not this game/edition will be there at launch is unknown.
There’s some kind of new technology in the new Joy-Cons that no one has mentioned yet which “could create new experiences”. Specifically, it sounds like this feature is in the “top side of the Joy-Con when detached”. When asked for more specific info, NextHandheld replied “Think lasers”.
The Joy-Con magnets themselves can be used as buttons.
Joy-Cons, buttons, and sticks are just slightly larger than the Switch’s
The Joy-Cons will use hall effect sticks.
Original Joy-Cons should work with the new console but won’t be charged while attached to it
There is an audible clicking sound (non-digital) when attaching the Joy-Cons to the system
The dock is similar to the original Switch dock but with rounded edges, and wider. The dock doesn’t cover the entire screen, and some of it still sticks out at the top.
It is about the same weight as the original Switch and equally as thin
Switch 2 cartridges look similar to Switch cartridges and the cartridge port is the same size
To repeat, these are just rumors, but none of them sound crazy. Except maybe Nintendo finally releasing Mario Kart 9 after 10 years.
Do you believe these rumors? Let me know in the comments.

Third story:
Potential dimensions for the Nintendo Switch 2 have been revealed, shared by dbrand CEO Adam Ijaz, who claims they are based on a “3D scan of the actual hardware.”
According to Ijaz, the measurements for the Switch 2 are below:
Width (with Joy-Con): 270mm
Width (without Joy-Con): 200mm
Height: 116mm
Thickness: 14mm
For comparison, the current Switch OLED model has these dimensions:
Width (with Joy-Con): 242mm
Height: 102mm
Thickness: 13.9mm
Ijaz also mentioned that the Joy-Con controllers may attach magnetically to the console, aligning with earlier reports. Dbrand is confident enough in this design that their Switch 2 case will allow the Joy-Con to be removed without detaching the console from the case.
Additionally, Ijaz noted the presence of a square button located beneath the Home button, labeled with the letter “C.” However, its functionality remains unclear. Thanks to The Verge for this update.
Original Story:
Dbrand’s CEO may have just confirmed the Switch 2 will look almost the same as the original Switch by revealing the device inside their Switch 2 case is actually the real Nintendo Switch 2. The Canadian peripheral manufacturer is known for publicity stunts, but this could indeed be legit.
