A tribute to the Polish Resistance Fighters, who attempted to liberate Warsaw from Nazi German tyranny between the 1st of August and the 3rd of October 1944.

The Warsaw Uprising lasted from 1st of September till the 3rd of October.

It was the single largest military effort taken by any European Resistance movement during WWII.

The German Nazis killed 16,000 insurgents and between 150,000 and 200,000 civilians.

The Germans expelled the remaining 700,000 Poles out of the city.

After the Uprising, 85% of the city was deliberately destroyed by the German forces.
