Sex hormone binding globulin or SHBG has important effects on a man’s testosterone and therefore plays a key role in diagnosing low T. Too many doctors only look at total testosterone, but I frequently see men with total T numbers that look adequate or high, but low free testosterone. Why? Their T is bound by SHBG. In this video I take a close look at SHBG, states that increase or decrease it, and lifestyle changes men can make to lower SHBG. I also share some cases of men who are suffering from low T symptoms due to elevated SHBG years or even decades after steroid use - and in some cases after only using T boosters, peptides, or SARMs. Persistent elevated SHBG is a side effect of androgens more people should know about!
