UTAH GEOSIGHTS.

Utah is one of the best places on earth to find a variety of geologic features that are easily accessible. Aside from the five famous National Parks of Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Arches; along with the National Monuments, and historic sights; call coupled with fantastic national forests and a plethora of state parks; there are yet many more natural wonders to enjoy in the state.

The Utah Geologic Survey put together a list of 48 geosights that give insights into the geologic history of the State of Utah. These conglomerate pillars, known as The Witches are one of those 48 sights.

On this hot dry day at the end of Summer we were more afraid to come across a rattle snake in the tall dray mountain grass than anything else. Thankfully we didn't see any. Like Indiana Jones, I'm not a fan of the slithering species.
